I think it is to the GT shareholders' advantage if bondholders agree to the Apple Settlement rather than fighting it, and this "biased hit piece" was written by Apple in an effort to persuade the bondholders to accept the Apple Settlement.

Bondholders' fighting the Apple Settlement will not make Apple throw a better deal. It will only delay the process. Time is money.

Apple will suggest a better deal only if that makes a better business sense, not because of some threats by bondholders.
