Once the Eastern Canadian mines are closed, CLF becomes boring (in the sense that there is no major tie to seaborne iron ore, but there is limited possibility of a dramatic growth spurt in the future).

Thus, I suspect that as the closure plays out, the short position will be reduced from the current 30-40% of the float to a more standard 10-20%.... The result will be a flatline on the stock price as the short positions are closed. (albeit, others might expect a short squeeze.. something I would like, but doubt will happen).

These are just the thoughts of an old retail investor with no inside knowledge and a poor track record.
