There are advantages in choosing Nauru as a canal site over Nicaragua. Most obvious is that the canal route would be shorter and much less expensive. There are few if any environmental concerns over building a canal in Nauru since the Australians, Japanese and others have already screwed the country over. A canal project in Nauru would put ACDU in Fat City.
