It's so great to see you back, Jeff. I do hope your eye heals up quickly, because I really miss your input on this board. Your post to which I'm responding says it all.

I've been a subscriber to QTN for about two weeks, and even though I don't have time to watch very often, when I do I keep coming across the same shows again and again. I watch at different times of the day, so either I'm just very unlucky, or Q is repeating the same stuff too much.

Something else I can't escape noticing is the depressing nature of a lot of the programming. I've commented on this before. The other night it was another depressing movie. Sometimes even the commercials are depressing. And just today when I turned it on, it was another gay rodeo. (The same show I've seen part of before.) But this time when I tuned in there was a guy walking a riderless horse around the ring. Turns out it was to symbolize those cowboys who've been lost to AIDS. That's a noble and fitting tribute, and I don't mean to criticize or belittle it at all. But once again I can't help but notice that turning on Q I find myself watching something depressing. Either I'm just hitting all the depressing stuff by chance, or there's a lot of depressing programming.

Then there are all the commercials, many of which repeat even during the same show.

So while I like some of what I've seen on Q, I also have some serious criticisms of the network. And like you, it interests me that none of the above was reported by the folks who pumped the programming (and Frank Olsen) for years. And a quick check of the other board shows me that a whole bunch of those pumpers seem to have suddenly dropped off the map, which I also find very interesting.
