Hi Fran:
Options is a world unto itself in my estimation.
I buy long and trade fequently. Many times I will use a 70/30 where I keep 70% for trading then 30% for core. If the stock goes north I like to take out my entire cost plus 25% and keep the remaining shares free. Works for the north but not the south. lol Don't keep much for longer than 6 months.
