Ayock, sorry have to disagree on this one. It's not a far stretch. It's not about shooting specifically, rather it's your premise about trying to restrict the rights of many due to the illegal actions of a few. Left wing zealots have been trying to restrict and prohibit gun ownership for many years because some people (very few if compared to the many law abiding citizens that do own guns) commit criminal acts. We could go back and forth on this for ages. I do agree that criminals should be prohibited from owning guns. It is regulated with background checks, at least every time I have ever bought a gun I had a background check.
I am not against limiting access to firearms to those who shouldn't have them.
And neither am I, but I am against the Bloombergs and Gates and the rest of the crowd trying to limit my rights under the 2nd amendment.
