Sure, they might be able to make all sorts of substrate conversions to new materials.

Commercialization requires sufficient durability.

Simply put, if the unit needs to be replaced or refurbished too often or at too great a cost it isn't commercially viable.

I think that was brought up in the references provided - CO poisoning of the cathode or anode. This requires replacement.

No updates from Mantra as in: "life span of lab ERC extended X fold over previous version" or "efficiency increased X-times increasing time before lab unit replacement"

So no, the question remains.
