i was rather surprised by the absence of a launch customer. pre-launch tests are often done with such a partner(s). so something wave may have expected didn't happen there.
at best this means deferral. at worst, the customer decided to do something different.
i was beginning to assume the product may be unappealing at the end of september. or that intel, ms etc were dishing the dirt in the usual way.
wave announced dozens of pilots and a single unidentified customer immediately afterwards, which was encouraging.
but things really aren't developing as i expected by the end of october. after four months i expected more demand signals to appear. not necessarily major sales. but something that makes you think ... well, maybe.
as i said to player, i haven't put my sceptical hat on yet. but my hand is hovering over the top of it.
the results may give some insight.
