I agree with your idea on evaluating team. However I strongly respectfully disagree with your evaluation of the starting staffs. Yes Madbum is terrific and adds tremendous weight to them. Madbum is what makes their staff almost equal to the Royals. 2-5 our staff is noticeably better than the Giants. It really isn't that close. Add that to our better D and bullpen then you have a team that is equal to the Giants and both the season and the series bore that out.
