Exactly. Some Hedgie or Tute on the outside looking in would be upset. But as a retail trader, it's immaterial.

Instead as retail I ponder what it means when one of my stocks runs big one direction or another, with supporting "news" for that movement being issued 48 hrs later by the company. Every time a GS downgrades or upgrades one of my stocks predicting doom or the moon, I wonder if their trading desk just got done establishing a new position. Also a mystery as to purpose is when a CNBC says: "According to inside sources...". Martha where are you?

Neither as retail do I care if some computer front runs my order, and gets a few pennies or fractional penny advantage. The battle for retail on the major exchanges isn't won based on such differences. Second by second trading seems to be background noise to me. Let the big kids battle it out.
