I guess, most of us are frustrated and we have been plenty patient. However, the gist of WMIH, at least to me, boils down to 2 questions:

1. Can it monetize the NOLs practically, not just in theory ?

2. Providing the answer to the first question is YES, then WHEN the NOLs will start being monetized ?


We are at the point where the first question has been answered with a YES in practicable terms with the KKR deal. The market took proper notice. Now, does the BOD care about the PPS ? I would agree with you that they don't at this time. When they must start to care is when new equity raises are proposed in the future and when the time comes to maximize shareholder value from the monetization of the NOLs. The BOD may soon have a very different structure enlisting KKR director or directors - we really do not know.

I anticipate an announcement before the next shareholder meeting. Could be tomorrow, could be March 2015, don't know. If there is no announcement before then, I would reconsider my position in the stock. It would also make for an interesting shareholder meeting- we are looking at dozens of companies would be too old to use again.
