Nope, not naïve. And I'm right-there-with you on any skulker's being bored out of their skull, lol.
My current AV's seems to be good, so far in nearly two decades of internet transactions...only two instances of fraud. (Reported and pursued by the card company.) Any other breaches occurred in someone-else's computers. (PS3 Network breech, and just recently..Homedepot's.)
And about the 'Homedepot' breech, If you go online you get info about identity-theft protection, provided by Homedepot, free of charge for one-year.
