These numbers for unemployment are no longer including FEDERAL CLAIMS. Unfortunately, when Obama Care was released January 2014, The federal Gov't also CANCELLED ALL FEDERAL UNEMPLOYMENT AID. For Professionals like myself, it's harder to find an Executive position and it would have helped me out extremely to hire a headhunter, so these are state figures and they are probably not reported properly.
The leading indicators index climbed 0.8% to 104.4 in September after a flat reading of 103.6 in August (revised from 103.8). The report beat expectations and is the highest since August 2007. Nine of the 10 components made positive contributions, led by the yield curve (0.27%) and the leading credit index (0.11%). The only negative contribution was from consumer expectations (-0.01%).
