value1008: What I take away from that article (thanks, by the way) is that the lower the price of oil, the harder the oil companies, etc. will lobby for lowering the standard.

I don't think we will have clarity on this issue or anything else, for that matter, until after the elections. (If Obama grants amnesty to 35M people, U will have riots. I know that much.)
