The only way shareholders get wiped out in a Chapter 11 is if the reorganization plan includes something along those lines.

However GTAT(Q) has already expressed to current shareholders that they're going to refocus and do what they can to ensure the PPS goes back up "Although it may not happen instantly" obviously I'm paraphrasing that last bit, I know it was something along those lines.

Them showing concern for even the people who are usually last in line in a liquidation to me shows they're not wiping out anything. Especially since they're not going to go further into Chapter 7.

The stats are very clear on what happens to commons in the majority of BK cases, and that is that they have no value and eventually cease trading. Those that make it through are big for shareholders, but they are a very small minority.

No...just lots of investment management and corporate BK experience :)
