Thanks, Mech Tech - so we now know that the Be-free alloy certainly did not come about because of lack of cost concerns and because it was solely to pacify "medical" customers. In fact, that was a point Hauck made at the Engel conference about when he came on board that they (aka the "salespeople") said cost was a significant drawback to any sales.

When I was able to go last year, I was told they were working on many different types of alloys because I had asked the question as to whether you really need something 2-1/2 times the strength of titanium if you could make it 1-1/2 to 2 times the strength of titanium with the same cost, or less. I certainly didn't have a novel thought, but I'm sure they saw that issue when trying to sell and MTRN, Apple and LQMT helped address that with research into different alloys.

I very much appreciate your citing ANAX's example of costing.

Whereas my costing preceded his, and did not include the beryllium example he so well demonstrated, I am not yet ready to rubber stamp anybody's costing without a further line by line substantiation or confirmation by at least two authorities.

Tentatively, i think his costing to be a bit too optimistic.

But let's see if all of us can join in together to come up with some final costing and volume figures which can possibly portend the real future for LQMT investors based upon the outline that Steipp provided at the Open House for 3 different types of revenue (and, ergo, hopefully, profitability streams) which could realistically give us a financial roadmap going forward that WE may rely upon greater than what management refuses to provide.
