I think he works with Bender and crew in Futurama! :>) Dr. Zoidberg doesn't know much about human anatomy. That is, he is an alien.

Speaking about twitter....

Just wanted to share my recent experience with twitter. As a result of this board, I signed up for it a few months ago. One person I decided to follow was Dr. Sears. I have tweeted him twice the past two weeks and was pleasantly surprised that he responded both times. Nothing earth-shattering here, but I thought this board would appreciate his comments. I am a huge fan of his work (I highly recommend his book "Toxic Fat" as it heavily speaks to the science of fish oil/inflammation and chronic disease).

The first tweet I sent him was the link for the study that was presented recently at the AHA High Blood Pressure Research Scientific Sessions entitled "Inflammation may be key to diabetes and heart disease link". http://blog.heart.org/inflammation-may-be-key-to-diabetes-heart-disease-link/

Didn't expect a response, just was hoping he would further comment about this study in one of his upcoming blogs. Anyway, he responded, "I would definitely agree with them." (no surprise there).

He recently tweeted an article that talked about the study done on high-dose fish oil (Lovaza) and lack of results in regards to Afib and oxidative stress. He stated, "The lack of reduction in oxidative stress is odd, I'd add in polyphenols."

I was curious about his opinion regarding Vascepa so I responded using the study that Zumantu recently posted that is coming out in the Internation Journal of Cardiology that used 1.8g of EPA within 24 hours of with patients that had an AMI. http://www.internationaljournalofcardiology.com/article/S0167-5273(14)01581-2/abstract

My response/question to him was, "Does DHA limit action of EPA? Afib and hs-CRP lower using EPA-only in new study after AMI" then provided the link for the study. He replied a few days later and said, "It may be that EPA is also an inhibitor of AA for the synthesis of pro-inflammatory eicosanoids whereas DHA is not and EPA also induces different resolvins than DHA."

Just a suggestion, but if we are going to go ahead with the 60 minutes idea, why not try to get him on board (or suggest this to the 60 minutes producers)? I am aware he sells his own brand of fish oil, but it appears he routinely does appearances and he would be the ideal spokesperson to defend the benefits of fish oil in regards to inflammation. He recently updated his website for his Inflammation Research Foundation....his appearance on 60 minutes could also be used to promote this foundation and its research IMO.

I signed up for and looked up "Dr. Zoidberg" on twitter and did not see any such posts. Could you re-post it here?
