That is a good article.

It seems much more focused on EntoGenetics Inc. than any other company, but it does give a shout out to KBLB as well as mention the few of the other other more well known Spider Silk companies/organizations.

BOOYAHH!

This shows you one thing. The competition is out there. Countries like Japan and China have way more man power at work. Thus kblb will be easily surpassed.

The reason, Kim had the holy grail for 4 years and has done nothing to bring it to market.

Once another country has their own silkworms producing similar material, they can scale up and bring to market a material in months, not years like kblb.

Like it or not, this company will never hit a new high in share price.

The CEO squandered his opportunity.

Time will prove this out. And you can disagree with me all day long. The bottom line is you will have posted everyday on this board for the better part of four, five, six years only to come out on the other end holding a stock that had 3 spikes in share price (each less significant than the last) which will trade at or lower than 5 cents until the company loses the license agreement with Notre Dame.

So keep posting but its not gonna change anything. The company you so vehemently support doesn't even update you quarterly, or annually anymore. Large sales are coming. The share price will be heading lower.

What a waste.

Looks like Kraig is the leader being chased by wanna be spider silk producers! I certainly didn't see pictures of any other of our competitor's goats, spider goo, bacteria or fiber in that outstanding article.

Didnt notice that any of the other so called competitors are working with top notch textile manufacturers like Warwick Mills.

I like the fact that Kim is still touting our Vietnam connection and the fact that he has recently arranged for $7 million in financing. Read between those lines if we get a matching grant or supplemental financing from the Vietnamese government. $$$$$ IMHO.

Git 'er done and let 'er run ... looks like 2015 is going to be our year!!!! Git 'em while they're cheap!!!!

Thank you Thruth, this is a great article. It provides a good overview and Kraig seems to be in a good position in comparison to the competition.

His lab has received nearly $4 million in federal grants...why didn't KBLB pursue federal grants?

It looks like that article is getting some attention over on Slashdot: http://tech.slashdot.org/story/14/10/14/1935206/companies-genetically-engineer-spider-silk

Thanks but I still don't understand why Randy Lewis left Kraig unless it had something to do with him leaving the university he was at to go to where he is now. I'm kinda disappointed to read that he is pursuing silkworm silk as well. Unless there is an agreement between his new venture and Kraig, that is concerning to me. I like Kim and I like Randy. And the two of them should still be working together to bring this whole thing to fruition TOGETHER. Randy is a spider genius. I think the World is big enough for many companies to do exciting things, but I just hated to see Randy leave, and now I hate even more that he is still working with silkworms with his own venture instead of sticking it out with Kim and Dr. Fraser. I watched one of Lewis's speeches online where he said silkworm is the most economical way to produce spidersilk. So why he would leave Kraig is beyond me. I wonder if he ever owned or still owns any stock in KBLB? If he owns stock, then he hasn't really left. I dunno. I'm rambling.
