The sale of the historic New York City Waldorf Astoria hotel by Hilton Worldwide to Chinese firm Anbang Insurance will be reviewed by the U.S. government on concerns of potential espionage.

The U.S. ambassador to the U.N. leases a residence at the hotel and other U.S. diplomats use the facility frequently.
