I'm not a chemist, but a fuel cell that uses acids and salts sound like it would be expected to have some "wear and tear" over time, though clearly not of a mechanical nature. Does the company have any information about running a prototype cell for an extended period of time? That would be a good start, IMO.. before jumping to an EV demonstration. The latter sounds better in a PR, however.
Yes, the low operating temperature will substantially increase operating life of MVTG on the fuel cells, and the ERC hardware (pumps) compared to the high temps used in other fuel cell designs.
