I understand what you are saying – my shares weren’t “free” – I purchased most of my shares when we were sub-penny – I sold about 75% of them when we were up from my basis about 450% - so I say the shares are “free” because even if I lose every dime and the stock goes to .0001, I still would have made a considerable profit….hope that clarifies.
