"We're finding these companies before anybody else," Barry says. "Once these micro- and small-cap stocks get bigger, the major institutions start buying. Then they get put into an index, the index funds buy them, and that's when we're getting out."

The small-cap fund invests in companies with a market size between $100 million and $1 billion, while its micro-cap counterpart looks for stocks with total market value ranging between $30 million and $300 million................

"...................Company management is not going to tell us anything more than they've told everybody else," he says. "And we don't listen to analysts."
