#18572 RE: gnawkz #18570

to the board BRAVO!! excellent postings today. it's been a pleasure and very informative to read the thoughts and research shared here today.
First: because I am replying to gnawkz's post I have a question about the German reimbursement. Is it possible/probable that patients are being treated but reimbursement will not be paid to NWBO until 2015. from earlier posts it seems the applications are to be received from hospitals by Oct 2014 for payment in 2015.

Second: it seems that Dr. Seigel may be very interested in Allan Butler's progress with pancreatic cancer treatments using DCVAX Direct.

Third: the discussion about reasons to hold, to sell or to buy were interesting but it really boils down to how long your time frame is for this investment. I have both shares and options so I could be influenced by the short, intermediate and long term share price. But I am in the money on my Oct 2.50s, slightly underwater on my Jan 5s and slightly underwater on my shares(by 3 to 1 dollar invested weight edit:just checked it's actually 4 to 1) and I am not in a position or inclination to retire within the next two years so I am definitely in the long term camp.

Again I want to thank the board for all the absolutely outstanding and helpful discussions.

Hi gnakwz,
I am sorry, my answer comes late, but I also have no answer to your questions.
Perhaps there are patients who pay their treatment themselves.
About 2 months ago I found an entry in a German internet forum; someone was looking for information about the treatment with DCVax-L and was mentioned he also would pay for the treatment himself.
you:

Is it possible certain medical institutions in Germany have already started treating patients who qualify under the sickness fund with DCVax-L?

Who would pay for the treatment if the health insurance doesn’t want to pay for it, or the health insurance want’s only to pay a part of it? The hospitals and doctors would have to pay out of pocket.
And we are not talking about a couple of Euro. Personally, I'm assuming as long as the negotiations are ongoing, the patients have to pay themselves.
Nothing else was said in the press release. Everything else is pure speculation.
The press release of March 2014, about the Hospital Exemptionand, the pending negotiations with the InKE regarding the reimbursement, this news were great.
you:

If pricing negotiations finished in September and we assume it takes 45 days to process and pay out a claim for a Hospital, followed by standard payment terms (90 Days) to NWBO, then cash would be received by NWBO in the beginning of 2015.

Unfortunately, I could not figure out whether the decisions of the InKE be added directly known by the application, or after the deadline for all applications (31 October 2014).
Concerning HE, I expect until spring of 2015 Information about possible revenue.

I hope I did not disturb anybody with my uninformative answer in the running very interesting discussion.
And many thanks to all for your great work.
