3 amicus briefs supporting McDonnell accepted by Fed Appeals Court .. Jan. 23 2015 ..

"He is asking the appeals court to let him stay out of prison while his appeal is adjudicated. If that bid
fails, he will have to report to prison Feb. 9. His wife remains free in advance of her Feb. 20 sentencing.

The briefs all support McDonnell’s request, arguing that the case against him would
change the political landscape in Virginia and criminalize activities that should not be illegal."
