Gfp - thanks, it's been a real bummer to wait so long, see some spectacular paper gains, then lose them all due to what appears to be a bolt out of the blue.
All the same, regardless of the time I've invested in following COR and the hopes I have for Ampakines, it's vitally important from an investor's perspective to properly assess the risk currently facing Cortex.
No fun, but I agree with your assessment as well as the words of caution Dubi posted earlier.
COR is indeed just another stock in my portfolio, but should it get past the current hurdle and resume the good progress it was showing, I could see being overweight in it again in the future - but nowhere near the % I was before.
It would be easy to look at this past week as a real kick in the teeth, and no doubt it was. But there's equally no doubt that had the FDA's hold come before the ADHD results, the stock would have been knocked down much worse %-wise than it was after the ADHD results. So we could have been looking at maybe a $1.25 or $1.50 stock going into the ADHD results, which were no sure thing even though they turned out great.
As it was, for me, an expensive lesson on paper beats the hell out of an expensive lesson in real dollars.
