Interesting. I too spoke with a police officer about the Daser. Not a civilian police officer, but military police (MP).

My old Sgt.Maj. happens to be down at the 200th MP command in Maryland… the difference between a random beat cop and this SGM? My guy has actually seen, held and used several different Occular distractors, including LEI's.
Any guesses on how well they received the Laser energetics demo back in January 2013?
