The point is being missed here. The development agreement was signed last year 9 months ago. Some point is right now. If EPGL was only worth 300 million CooperVision would have bought them out. CooperVision can't afford to buy EPGL out. They know this and that is why they have to structure things they way they are.

Reach out means they contacted EPGL about their tech to see how they could acquire it.
