Thanks for following up. Like I said, I was on an iPhone when I came across this. My wife has been hospitalized for the past 11 days (released today), so my focus has been elsewhere.

Why does the patent say Apple, Inc. is the Assignee, and not mention Crucible LLC? If it has no mention of Crucible or LiquidMetal Technologies, then how can LQMT claim any rights to the patent? If it is solely an Apple patent, you can understand why neither LiquidMetal or liquid metal or Crucible or LiquidMetal Technolgies, Inc. are mentioned anywhere in the documentation.

Naturally Patently Apple and Mac Daily News would transform this into a "Liquidmetal" development, because that is what those players get paid to do.
