Well while I think the article is very inaccurate I don't think it is a big deal--the long term in this stock will be revenues, licensing, and profits and R&D to produce IP for the future.
In the meantime an article like that is sound and fury but signifies (little) or nothing.
In fact it doesn't seem to have had a major negative impact on the stock today at all.
BUT I beg to differ that Michael Jackson is an example of bad publicity not hurting.
His last album and tour were a disaster--and not just financially.
He is increasingly unpopular.
Bad press doesn't seem to have helped Martha Stewart much either.
But IDCC is either going to perform or not which is what is going to make or break the stock. And I'm betting on IDCC CONTINUING to perform.
