I seem to recall a listing of the earmarks for mining scams somewhere. Maybe you saw that list somewhere? I know that touting proximity to an existing mine is one of them.

FACT! Barrick Gold Corp, and Kinross Gold Corp target massive mineralization zones!
It is also not always possible for a single company to control an entire deposit area, otherwise either Barrick, or Kinross would control the entire zone. THEY DON'T! Especially true, if the mineralization zone covers a wide area, as this one appears to be. CJTF's claims are verifiable, and adjacent to Barrick and Kinross claims!!!
