I know you were but it doesnt need to happen that way but if you remember Schott said at the meeting they were working on the glass already and fed funding hasnt come in yet so they are working on it on thier own time so to speak.
Where did you get the idea that a Joint Development Agreement was a funding agreement for Schott to give 3DIcon money? Its a JDA, not funding agreement! They are going to help them DEVELOP the technology, not fund it! They are working jointly with Freitag to help get funding from the government, not fund it out of their own pocket.
You don't think that a company like Schott might be willing to foot the bill for the R&D if the sales potential of the finished product is adequate? My company does all its R&D, it is usually worth it.
