Yes the one referenced is a pilot study... but there is more to come in this vein.

Yes it was a small study ...however the P values on this study were 0.01 ...indicating that similar results would likely be seen in larger trials.( or at least the same trial run many times )
The "dip " in coronary plaque volume you mention can be the difference between whether you require stents ( 50% stenosis ) or not. So a 10-20% reduction in coronary plaque volume can be a big deal .
I ( and I assume you also ) would rather eat 4 gms of Vascepa each day then have an angioplasty and stents inserted
