If we get the projected (FY2014) 1 million dollars that gets the ball rolling on the image space material development with the help of Schott Defense. "Is that enough?" You asked, in my opinion no. We have no idea what it's going to entail money wise for that development, once completed we go to the next goal; we move onto the display integration phase. This phase will involve companies such as: Rockwell Collins and Honeywell. The next phase is system integration, this will include companies like: Lockheed, Raytheon, Boeing, ITT, and L3. The final phase is actual end users. This will be organizations like : NASA, Department of Defense, DOT (FAA), and CIA (Intelligence).
We have a big hill to climb with all this, imo, and 3DIcon is going to need money along the way of the journey. There is other grant money projected for FY2015 (5 million) and FY2016 (16 million).
