You my be right, gamesc. That was exactly 4 years ago. And Apple paid for all perpetual use of the processing and forming equipment, not just material formulas and processes, existing and pending, and developed ever since. Crucible was formed for Apple's convenience. Apple does not pay for extensions of the agreement.

LQMT needs to license Crucible's IP, for non-CE. There is no evidence, in fact the contrary, that either Engle or Materion need to pay LQMT for sales they may make of LQMT related products. As Top Steipp has repeated again and again and emphasized, LQMT revenues will come from licensing the IP. Maybe the broken chain with Visser will allow some of that to happen by LQMT customers choosing to self-mfr items made of LiquidMetal. So buy Materion. Apple is merely a flag that the LQMT blog network waves.

Game those articles are dated 4 years ago. I think we need LQMT to make articles like these more publicized to present day investors unless they are still "sworn" to secrecy. Personally I am getting a bit annoyed with this cloak and dagger type of lack of info. If they were at least showing some semblance of turning all this secretive stuff into profits I would feel better. Let them keep their secrets--SHOW the SHAREHOLDERS SOME PROFITS!!!

I know Gamesc! I LOVE THAT awesome article! Every time I read it I bust out laughing so hard I am in tears!

A few hilarious Merkel quotes from that article about the LQMT/Apple deal.

“I wanted to make sure they were paying their bills,” he says."

“Apple must believe in the technology because the company has been flaky for years.

"They kept refinancing and refinancing and sometimes couldn’t make payroll."

"The company has been broke for years."

"This shows how dramatic a deal this is, that Apple would invest in a company that’s quite flaky.”

QUITE FLAKY! lol! Way to go Merkel! Awesome! Thanks for the morning humor.

Gamesc, thanks for that funny article. What a sad-tragic-funny story. I don't know who that "expert" is, but for selfish reasons, I hope he recovers his losses in LQMT and makes a profit.

How can anyone be an expert who "watched in horror" as he gradually lost $9450,000 and didn't sell? There is a lesson here for all of us. As investors, we need to be careful of who we take advice from - be careful of who we call "experts."
