Don't know why they chose mineral oil but doesn't matter as FDA has agreed upon the trial design and placebo.

Is it not for reasons of color than Amarin has used paraffin oil? If I'm not mistaken, Vascepa is colorless. If one employs corn oil, then the yellow placebo will therefore be visibly different than Vascepa. Lovaza, it is a little yellow and so we can use corn oil as placebo.
