The trading companies like Scotttrade - Ameritrade etc. have contracts with most of the exchanges, not all of them. If they do not have a contract I don't think you can see that info in your trading companies info. At least that is how it was explained to me.

The real question(please take no offense) is why are you buying shares right now? What do you see that makes you want to buy shares?Just curious.

When I cant answer someone, but I like to know myself, I take action. I nibbled today with a limit, got odd lots in small amounts. also considering the sizes I typically see, they don't seem to be hungry enough and may only fill when they can, or they don't bother if odd lots are not readily available to complete a trade. Its convenience in my mind. nothing going on.
