They helped the community at the expense of the shareholders. Did shareholders profit from the millions spent by Fifer on water treatment plants, and the general infrastructure build-out done there around the mine? No. Much of that Fifer put right back in his pocket because he had his own little private company doing those improvements. The money was going from PTQ to the Insiders. Just like what happened when they sold the LP concession rights to PTQ shareholders after they bought them for next to nothing. Now we don't even have the rights to it anymore.
How many large shareholders are left? Good question. I would guess not too many.
