This is not terribly new news. It is merely a continuation of the discovery made in 2011 by Johnson and Demetriou.

However, I will repeat what I posted earlier:

This is pretty much the death knoll for LQMT and its 3 minute cycle.

Johnson's process is instantaneous.

Look up my old posts and you will find confirmation of this realization about two years ago.
