dig space, we need to know how many of Dell's total annual volume is Latitudes and mobile workstations. Without that data, we are guessing, no?

I do know notebooks are continuing to displace desktops and I believe since Dell is still enterprise-weighted on their sales (vs. consumer) that the Latitude line in particular is a significant seller, But, I don't know how many Latitudes Dell sold last year for example.

Wave must know about upcoming, yet to be released, bundled Dell models. If they can forecast 3 years out on Dell volume, it's a safe assumption this includes upcoming refreshes on Optiplex desktop models for example.

Dig Space????"98% of the Dell machines shipping next Q will have *NOTHING* to do with Wave"

FACTS for you DIG.....
1.In 2004 Broadcom ONLY supplied TPM's to DELL
for their Latitude & Precision range.
2.In 2004 Broadcom stated they were shipping
millions of TPMs(to Dell) per Qtr
3.The D620 is Dell's Mainstay Product
4.Your 98% figure is BULL!

"In 2004 Broadcom launched its first NetXtreme GbE controller with integrated TPM, supporting TCG's 1.1b specification. This chip changed the way that PC OEMs viewed TPM -- a high cost technology suddenly became cost-effective enough to add as a standard feature on certain motherboards. Broadcom is now shipping millions of these TPM 1.1b devices per quarter and is a leader in this market. With the new NetXtreme GbE controllers integrating TPM 1.2 functionality, the company has extended its market leadership position and is driving TPM price points even lower"

-EDIT- dig, I hate to say it but you just lost all credibility (again).

(1) You state:
The facts are it is likely that more that 98% of the Dell machines shipping next Q will have *NOTHING* to do with Wave.

The Optiplex, M-series and Latitude series are all business oriented PCs from Dell. It is known from a survey last year posted here that Dell supplies just over 1/4 of the enterprise PCs in the US, alone (roughly). Their marketshare in Asia is growing. More than half Dell's sales are to enterprise and educational and government.

(2) Government HSPD-12:
The Dell machines offered are the least expensive on the list. The government is opening up the funding this year for hardware purchases.

NTT Data is Dell's LARGEST customer.
EDS is the USA's largest integrator, and they prefer Dell equipment.

(3) You state:
But nothing stated is even close to 20,30,40 mill in revs for Wave

20,30,40 million was in reference to UNITS, not bundling revenues. SKS made it clear that upgrade revenues are an unknown and prefers to not speak about it. Additionally, bundling revenues are for the products Wave's partners have announced. It does not include any new products Wave bundles with over the next 9 months.

1) Seagate products coming out
2) Media Center products coming out
3) Mobo products
4) Atmel partners
5) etc

++++
I really don't understand where you get this 98% figure. That's just plain stupid if you ask me.

Revenues WILL be there! The bottom line is all that matters here, dont worry about all of the nonsense. Day by day Wave continues to get a better hold on the computing industry. Its only a matter of time before Wave is a household name.

SP will = $10+ levels in less than a mere 2 years!

Go Wave Go!!!
