I disagree-Kathy is probably not even drawing a salary-that is AFT's biggest debt-accrued salary that will probably never be repaid. Jim ran the company for years, but who was the won who submitted the proposals (and won) the SBIR awards & the work with Argonne & the NSF? Kathy-who not only is now the president & director of the company, but is compiling financials(CFO), human resources, shareholder relations, payroll, etc. She is doing the work of 5 or 6+ people. This is what it means to run a small business-I know-I did it myself for a number of years. There is no indication that Kathy is trying to grow the company? How so? They have a small staff, and a contract with Argonne/NSF & work with a major defense company-sounds like they are pretty busy to me. I'm not saying Kathy is doing a fantastic job by any means, but keep things in perspective.
My DD has nothing to do with AFT keeping their doors open-they have been awarded contract work with a major defense company-it's work like that which keeps the doors open.
