dave...you missed the point..the independent consultant tells you the value of the assets....not the investees' expenditures. I would have an independent appraisor or two also appraise the $10 million dollar home....but they wouldn't know my building costs. Each home would be real..my building costs and fees would be unknown....you wouldn't know what's going in my pocket when the "asset" is sold since I don't have to report that to you. Is this really that hard for some to understand????
