Apparently SI has been down since sometime this morning. All that we've been able to determine so far is that the webservers are running, but the message database server is completely unresponsive. I've left several voicemails at the ISP, to no avail. There's supposed to be 24/7 support available to let me in the building when needed (at $150 per hour, 2 hours minimum), but whoever's on call right now is simply not paying attention to their pager.

At this rate, it seems a very distinct possibility that we may not be able to bring up the site again until Tuesday. Unless someone finally pays attention to their pager. If that worst-case scenario plays out, I will be largely unavailable Tuesday at either site, as I'll be going to the ISP to get SI running again in the morning, doing some major ass-chewing, then spending the rest of the day investigating other ISP possibilities, including getting the necessary bandwidth dropped to my office so I can always get to the machines.

They're charging me enough that it shouldn't cost too much more to just get the data lines to my office and the 24/7 accessibility would be well worth nearly any extra amount of cost.

Colocation, especially when you don't have a key, sucks.

If I sound extremely pissed off, it's only because I am. Most of the outages that either site has had have been the ISP's fault or a problem upstream from them, and though this one is apparently not their fault (though we don't know that for sure yet), the fact that I am completely unable to lay my hands on the machines unless I throw a brick through a window is certainly a problem that can not continue.
