It even works for suspended, now grey stocks. Over in KMAGgot ville there have been at least 3 runs from 005-01 post suspension the past 20 months. Each a pump involving a "Short Squeeze". A flood of posts each time "uncovering" the evil Short conspiracy, and threats at the imaginary Shorts. The herd buys into the "Short Squeeze", PPS goes up. Ah ha! The evil Shorts are scared! Make em bid higher! Eventually the PPS goes up 100%, and the pumpers cover. The herd burping in paper, stops buying, PPS drifts back down, and then comes the cry of ... NSSers from Germany are attacking the stock! In KMAGgot ville you had posts asserting the cult CEO was going to hire "Super Lawyer", who will sue everyone in sight (inc SEC, FINRA , DTCC etc), and force a NSS cover. Another pump run had one brave poster (pumper) proclaiming he would file a class action suit to uncover the fiendish plot. Cult herd cheers, breaks open piggy banks, and dives in again.
The Short Squeeze is very powerful Hopium smoke for a herd to become addicted to. What is really mind-boggling is the idea one has so called "investors" drifting from stock to stock, believing the same nonsense over and over. Investing by Conspiracy.
