This is just my speculation obviously, but I wonder if the negative campaign ads caught the attention of any of the Rs in the Senate. I think that was helpful that someone ran those ads on our behalf.

As far as the President goes, who knows. Geithner and DeMarco are gone, which doesn't hurt. The lawyers must be nervous about discovery at the Court of Claims and the injunctive relief cases at the District Court. Again, who knows but I like the Perry Fairholme Arrowwood Reply Brief at the District Court.

NewEdge sounds interesting. One of its predecessor companies hired Drexel Burnham guys after it blew up in the 1980s. {I was on the Drexel trading floor one day in the 1990s, it was owned by BONY by that time I think.] NewEdge probably has decent contacts in the hedge fund community and elsewhere although they must be imagining more than is really there. Encouraging though.
