McClellan sees a pullback in XAU here to at least test the May low if not take it out completely, and he leans toward the latter. I'm in the "test" camp. Weekly charts with support line extended thru the May low to test.

You want to see crazy swings, start tracking SSRI. It does seem to be leading the miner pack.
