The FTD report is a nullity - even the SEC admits it.
As for covering by the current shorts - I would not be at all surprised to see a series of P&D spikes orchestrated late summer ( assuming that P20 conversion will not take place till fall prime time).
If I were running this company I wouldn't be releasing a bloody thing as far as news. If you look at the history of the stock and charts in general it gets to be pretty obvious that shorts use P&D to cover - no news from the company means that their ability to P&D while exiting is VERY limited.
