What he took he didn't keep. There was a last minute deal to reduce his sentence if he could come up with some funds for restitution. The DOJ guy asked us our opinion of the deal. I didn't like it but the other four of us that were flown in agreed. My losses were documented as part of the proceedings and I received a check for that amount from the U.S. Treasury a few months later.
