Ahh I see. Way before my time I guess... However that phrase still gave me the creeps when read in the middle of the night. In fact I think this concept of shadows lurking was used to good effect for the character of Voldemort.... And I guess in any scary movie where the villian (Dracula or whatever) appears suddenly from the shadows...haha.
