"it shouldn't have been an option and they would pay too much" well ....maybe not, but now it isn't. GZFX may be at fault for the consideration of DVDavenue, but they were SMART enough to not sign the deal. that would have made me leary of their reasoning and business skills. They looked to buy but DID NOT. that is the bottom line. In my opinion it is OK to want or think about killing someone, just don't actually pull the trigger. GZFX never pulled the trigger on this deal and thats the bottom line. Its over, so lets just move on or out.

BMI, you may very well be right about that. Regardless, I'm glad we pulled out rather than push a bad position.Everyone here seems to think it was all about the porn. I don't. JF and the boys knew about the porn going into this and had a plan to deal with it. I simply think we've got a much better deal in our sights.

Bigmoney, I don't know why he would blame the fippers for because we are kept in the dark, they diluted big time, and news has been lacking. The actions of the company has caused many investors to be worried about their investment and so some take profits here and there and probably don't want to be in for long periods of time. I mean who wants to be in if they announce more dilution or another delay in cc or worse?

Just my opinion

BMI: Agreed. They should have known earlier. There's no excuse. It's easy to rationalize the decision to back out of the DVD Avenue arrangement after the fact, but good businesses do their homework before signing the deal in the first place. Undoubtedly GZFX wasted precious funding identifying and reviewing the opportunity initially, and then terminating it. Just looks bad, bad, bad for management to handle it this way.

Plus, we get news that they've backed out of the deal coupled with news of another distribution center??? And, again, no word whatsoever on the CC deal? What the hell is going on with the management of this company?!

No matter how much I find I "want" to support GZFX, I can't rationally overlook their repeated mistakes. If I weren't so heavily invested, their flububs would have turned me off of them months ago.

As stated numerous times, management should have known all of this on the front end. DVD Avenue was not a quality acquisition for many reasons.

Wonder how much we paid the "acquisition" company to evaluate this deal?

And management blames the sub penny price on "flippers".

What about all of the fees and expenses in the acquisition that is wasted ? Once again, thoughtless planning. Spending the public money that keeps GZFX in business on a deal that is now off the table.

It hurts the price more this way. GZFX once again is displaying their lack of business experience.

The deal should have never been on the table. Adult movie subscribers were the majority at DVD Avenue. So maximum of only 2,000 were going to consider GZFX. Couple them not getting many valuable movie titles and why do the deal ?

GZFX says it was for the DC and staff. But GZFX was going to pay way to much for this poor deal, imo. It should have never been an option in the first place.

b_m_i: Again, you're not in their shoes so you really don't have the authority to make statements like your about GnF management. It's my belief that the main reason why they were going for this deal was to sell the porn and make some coin, keep some subs but mainly, to gain the DC in MD in the process.

It's my belief that they were probably misled a bit by DVDAvenue as to the "type" of subs they have and their renting habits. A bit more DD and they found out that they would've gained very very little subs so the time/energy to peddle out the porn and go through the whole integration of DVDAvenue to GnF all for mainly gaining their real desire, a DC in MD, wasn't worth it. So, they sh*tcan the deal and open a DC on their own. Good decision from my point of view. So, how incompetent is management? Give us a break, b_m_i.

Like businesses don't do this sort of thing all the time...go into deals, find out more, back out of deals. It's business, plain and simple.

You and other constant slandering of GnF management leaves a lot to be desired.

One thing folks...if GnF management were so bad, how'd they ever get through CC's doors?

Think about that before you post your slander, please.

I have seen a lot of NYSE companies start an acquisition and then back out before the deal is done. It is not unusual for this to happen. I think they went into this only for the distribution center and the stock with the intention of dumping the porn. They took their time, put the pencil to it and realized they could open their own new DC with new stock cheaper. I don't see how that is a negative.
