Kelly, are you sure that Katja Jancic is the analyst for REX?

I emailed both Bill Jones of Singular Research and Paul Resnik of Uncommon Equities about who was posting the numbers to Thomson First Call and each man said he wasn't doing it. When I asked Paul about Katja, he affirmed that she was posting for PEIX but thought she was NOT posting numbers for REX. Bill Jones thought that a Quant program might even be posting the numbers for REX.

So can you confirm that it's Katja? I emailed her several days ago but have yet to hear back.

The reason I'm so interested/concerned is that, despite REX CEO Stuart Rose guiding on the last earnings call for just "slightly better" EPS for Q1 compared to Q4's 1.95 (which was "much better" than Q3's 1.20 EPS), the lone analyst has not changed that silly "3.13 EPS" figure for Q1, which is showing up at Yahoo, NY Times and no doubt some other sites.

Therefore, some financial press may report an EPS of around 2.00-2.10 as a "miss," when in fact it will match CEO's guidance from two months earlier and will be a whopping 376% higher qtr-over-qtr compared to last year's Q1, which came in at 0.43.
